PANCHKARMA- AYURVEDA

Panchakarma is a bio cleaning regimen intended to eliminate the toxic elements from the body and thereby enhance the quality of life. Panchakarma presents a unique approach of Ayurveda with specially designed five procedures of internal purification of the body. It is a procedure in which Utklista doshas (humours) are expelled out through the nearest route after Snehana and Swedana. It is a curative line of treatment for all diseases which are not amenable to Shamana Chikitsa. The panchakarmas explained in ayurvedic classics are Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana. Panchakarma can also be administered in Swastha (healthy individual) as a preventive measure. Besides the application in the treatment of disease, they are also used as preparatory measures before surgery and before administration of Rasayana (rejuvenation therapy).

Hypertension is not considered a standalone disease but a condition arising from dosha imbalances, primarily Vata and Pitta, with Kapha also contributing in some cases. Vata governs movement and circulation, and its aggravation can cause erratic blood flow. Pitta controls metabolism and heat, and excess Pitta may inflame blood vessels, raising blood pressure. Kapha contributes to stability and fluid balance, and its imbalance can lead to weight gain and fluid retention, increasing cardiovascular workload. Psychological stress, improper diet, and lifestyle factors further aggravate these doshas, leading to elevated blood pressure.
